Epinions Sherpani Rumba Baby Carrier

by  slcct,  Jul 14, 2005
Pros: Unbeatable comfort for both adult and child.
Cons: None; I'd highly recommend the Rumba to anyone looking to buy a child carrier.
The Bottom Line: After nearly a year of use, we highly recommend the Rumba to anyone looking to buy a child carrier.
Review: My husband and I bought the Sherpani Rumba for hiking, backpacking and general walks or errands around town with our son. Once our son was able to sit comfortably on his own, my husband and I started taking him on day hikes in the carrier. After nearly ...

Epinions Quality, safety and comfort

by  maestro123,  Oct 12, 2004
Pros: Fit and comfort features for parents with all the adjustability and safety for the child.
Cons: The topper sunshade was a bit tricky to install the first time out.
The Bottom Line: I like this design; it has the fit and comfort features of a real expedition backpack and the carrier keeps the child safe and snug. The Rumba is a winner.
Review: My wife and I work in the outdoor industry and have really studied all the alternative baby carriers on the Market. Our little girl has spent many weekends discovering the outdoors form the seat of our baby carrier (including overnight trips to 13,000 ft ...

Pros: Comfortable, adjustable in the ergonomically correct locations, great storage, and attractive.
Cons: Stirrups may not work well.
Review: We purchased the Rumba recently. We learned of the product through the book Baby Bargains. We study consumer reports, reviews, and all other available material before making purchases. We are engineers and are outdoor enthusiasts. The Rumba was ...

Epinions Great Hiking Pack

by  fundad1243,  Nov 4, 2004
Pros: Comfort, Adjustability, Includes Extras
Cons: Instruction manual could be better
Review: We have a seven month old son and take him hiking often with our Rumba. I particularly like the fact that my wife and I can share the pack easily due to the "on the fly" adjustment system. It is very comfortable for both of us. It's got tons of ...

Pros: Storage Space, Adjustability, Comfort, Quality
Cons: Sunshade is tricky to figure out at first.
Review: I have an eight month old son and recently started using my Rumba for doing errands, walking and hiking. This pack is awesome. The sturdy frame distributes the weight to my hips which means I don't feel burdened and sore on my shoulders. Another nice ...

Pros: •High-quality construction •Overall comfort for adult and baby •Kickstand always ready to help set-down

Epinions Find out why I bought (and then returned!) this carrier.

by  consider_this,  Aug 13, 2004
Pros: Low weight, many features for its price level, good warranty, color choices.
Cons: Design and engineering flaws, potentially dangerous, flimsy rain hood, poor instruction manual and service.
The Bottom Line: Although this pack uses high quality materials, has nice color choices and has many features, its design flaws are serious and in one case potentially dangerous. Keep looking.
Review: Consider This . . . This is Russi Mountain Works' (formerly Madden Mountaineering) sequel to their award winning "Caravan" kid carrier. It appears to offer a lot of bang for the buck, having many features at a price that you would pay more for in ...
