Epinions Caffe Amore

by  kaansua,  Jun 11, 2002
Pros: Stylish, durable, makes excellent coffee
Cons: Needs thorough cleaning after capuccinos
The Bottom Line: If you know someone who really loves coffee, give them this machine and they'll love you for it.
Review: I had been on the lookout for a new coffee maker for some time when my husband gave me the Krups "Il Caffe Bistro" for Christmas. That was four years ago, and this wonderful machine is still brewing exquisite american coffees and excellent italian...

Epinions The only thing it doesn't do is grind the beans for you

by  SarMacFan,  Oct 16, 2000
Pros: programmable, auto shut-off, 10-cup capacity, espresso machine with froth attachment, attractive
Cons: you must grind the coffee, or buy pre-ground
Review: I received this as a gift seven years ago. It actually had more in a coffee maker than I ever thought I'd want or need. Over the past 7 years, I've learned to use and appreciate every one of its features.

First of all, I love the feature...

Epinions Honey, Is The Coffee On?

by  s_blevins,  Jun 6, 2000
Pros: Great beverages and handy timer
Cons: Tricky Instruction Manual
The Bottom Line: Over 4 years old now and still works great!
Review: "Honey, is the coffee on?" had become my spouse's morning ritual greeting. With my thinking cap on, I ventured out to find us a coffee/espresso maker with a timer. We really enjoy this coffeemaker and I especially love that now I don't have to crawl ...

Epinions Works great both the espresso and coffee maker

by  jay10b,  Nov 7, 2006
Pros: Easy manual, Easy to operate, Easy to clean, Easy to program.
Cons: None yet.
Review: Before I bought this machine I actually read all the reviews on this website. I read one where the person states that it does not froth enough milk for two cups of cappuccino. I filled the water reservoir with about 3 cups of water maybe a little more. ...

Epinions Great Coffee Machine

by  cathodbach,  Nov 8, 2005
Pros: Great dual purpose machine.
Cons: Primitive frothing mechanism which can get a bit messy
Review: I bought mine a few years ago as a replacement for a smaller machine; this makes 10 cups so it fits the bill. I like this machine because firstly it looks good on the counter; secondly it has a dual function which saves the need for 2 separate machines. ...

Epinions High Quality - Long Life

by  tkummer,  Dec 5, 2005
Pros: Great Coffee, Long Life, Looks Great
Cons: Touch-pad may go bad if you have heavy-fingered people using it.
Review: I received this coffee maker in 1991 (14 yrs ago) as a gift and have used it daily over that period of time. I make at least 2 pots per day. I used the Espresso Machine several times over the 1st two years but really haven't used it since. I prefer ...

Epinions Krups Caffe Bistro: The Way to Have Your Coffee and Espresso Too.

by  jo.com,  Feb 10, 2006
Pros: Programmable timer; can stop the brewing, makes two cups of espresso at a time.
Cons: Not enough froth; short cord; large
The Bottom Line: I am very happy with my purchase. It fills all my needs and more.
Review: We finally got tired of buying $25.00 espresso machines every six months to one year. We decided on the Krups Caffe Bistro which I paid $169.00 for. There is a newer model for $100 but note that it does not have the ability to program the machine to ...

Epinions Great machine for the price, but cumbersome

by  drwombat,  Jan 5, 2005
Pros: Genuine steam (not pump) pressure, good build quality, price
Cons: Slightly cumbersome b/c it's steam not pump (pressure tank)
The Bottom Line: Buy it for the espresso side of things, and be happy it also happens to make coffee.
Review: It's a trade off. For espresso you can either get a pump-driven machine (with bar/psi ratings, etc) and you just fill up the water tank and let the machine use what it needs, or you do it right and get a steam pressure driven machine. A ...

Epinions They Shouldn't have Combined the Two...

by  Plannies,  Jan 23, 2000
Pros: Good coffee and looks nice in the kitchen
Cons: Doesn't Stream Enough Milk to Make Two Lattes
Review: The coffee maker works as it should. The espresso maker works but not well enough. It does make the espresso shots, two at a time, but it doesn't make enough steam to heat the milk to make two lattes. :(

It hardly makes enough steam to heat...

Epinions Like coffee, froth. Don't use Espresso.

by  robbiehaf,  Jul 24, 2001
Pros: Convenient, looks good.
Cons: Frother too close to machine.
The Bottom Line: Compact, convenient, classy. I use it every day.
Review: Bought this to save counter space and because I wanted Espresso machine and price with coffee combined was close to the price of just the Espresso machine. I like the way it looks - classy and simple. It cleans up very easily (except the frother, which...
