Fun game but not very unique

I bought this game as a gift for my husband. He has a Playstation 2 but has only played it a few times. He also only has a couple of sports games. As a hardworking father of three he doesn't really have a lot of extra time to sit around and play video games. I wanted to give him something that he could relax with and enjoy. This game was perfect for him. He loves driving, racing games and this fit the bill. We had a hard time figuring out how to play using two players and in actuality, two player gaming isn't all that great in this game. Just racing against each other, using a split screen with not a lot of options available. It was more fun when he was playing by himself. He normally gets bored after a while, but I had to turn all the lights out and go to bed in order to get him to stop playing and go to sleep. There really was nothing unique or fresh to this game, just another driving, racing, get away from the cop’s kind of deal, but the graphics were great and he had a lot of fun customizing his cars. Others have complained that the game was too short but since my husband rarely has time to play the ps2, this was ideal for him. All in all, at under $20, this was a great gift and fun way for him to unwind.
