Epinions Dyson Root 6 (DC16): Super Handheld Vacuum, Expensive But You Get What You Pay For

by  clifforda,  Nov 4, 2008
Pros: Replaceable lithium-ion battery, battery status, no filters to buy, excellent suction even as canister fills
Cons: Twice the price of B&D Pivot, bigger and not as compact as the B&D Pivot.
The Bottom Line: Both the Pivot and Root 6 are excellent handheld vacuums. Root 6 is twice the price but you get what you pay for.
Review: I bought both the Black and Decker Pivot and Dyson Root 6 to compare them to each other. See http://monkeeworks.com/goVac1 for photos and more details! See my epinions.com comparison with ...

Epinions It sucks as much as my DC-07 does!!!

by  majcmortenson,  Jul 9, 2007
Pros: Indestructible, easy to use, remarkable suction even when full, well designed, washable filters.
Cons: Pricey
The Bottom Line: Excellent for daily quick clean ups, a great companion product for the full sized Dyson vacuum cleaner and just as powerful I am so glad I bought one.
Review: ..and I mean that in a good way!!! After looking longingly at the cordless Dyson Root6 (DC-16) I finally got the go ahead from the boss (husband) to buy it. It is a pricey little unit, retailing for $149.00 at Target and almost everywhere else. We ...

Epinions Dyson Root 6 roots out dirt

by  auntieruth,  Jan 4, 2008
Pros: Will suck a bowling ball out of the closet. Empty dust bin without getting dirty.
Cons: Short battery life requires organized approach to cleaning. Expensive.
The Bottom Line: RECOMMENDED for people who clean regularly, who need a small, compact, and portable vac for spot cleaning and don't mind spending the extra dollars to get efficient suction.
Review: I was looking for a small lightweight vacuum that would function for short cleaning tasks. I wanted something rechargeable, easy to empty, and that had sustained suction. Furthermore, since I have asthma, I wanted something that would not aggravate my ...

Epinions Janine G

by  janine44,  Jan 15, 2008
Pros: Great suction, gets to all those awkward spots.
Cons: Price a bit steep but after using product I have no regrets.
The Bottom Line: Dont buy a Dyson DC16 for big jobs and complain when the battery fails half way through a job. Great suction. I am very happy with it.
Review: I had read all the good and mostly bad reviews about this product. The bad seem mostly about the 5-6 mins running time. I have no problem with this as I dont intend to do my whole house with it. It clearly states in the instructions that it only runs for ...

by  m3murphy,  Dec 27, 2006
Pros: efficient, consistent suction; ergonomic weight distribution; hands-free gravity powered refuse disposal.
Cons: Has filters. Crevice tool not integrated into storage design.
Review: This vacuum restores my faith in mankind...finally a cleverly designed gadget delivers what it promises! This will be the last handheld vacuum I buy...now, will it last? I am so please to find I can hold this vacuum without feeling unduly strained. A ...

Epinions If you can afford it, buy it

by  jazpuppy,  Sep 2, 2007
Pros: Pretty much everything
Cons: Price
Review: Read a lot of pros and cons on this little (well, not so little) monster, and here's my take on it: It works just fine. That's really about it folks. You charge it up, pull the trigger, and it sucks up whatever you put in its path. And it's very easy to ...
