Epinions Dyson DC15: Vacuum Cleaners Usually Do Not Excite Me, But.......

by  hwz1,  Jun 23, 2005
Pros: Sex appeal, good suction, functional, very mobile
Cons: A little loud, expensive
The Bottom Line: A great, but expensive vacuum.
Review: Lets face it, a vacuum cleaner is not usually something to get too excited about. They do the mundane job of cleaning up after us every week or two and that is about it. Not too exciting. However, I recently purchased the Dyson DC15 and I can say that ...

Epinions The most fun I've had with my clothes on was with my Dyson!

by  mamashan,  Apr 4, 2006
Pros: Easiest, most effective, carpet-fluffing, edge-sucking, allfloorcleaning, crumb-eating, mother's savior of a vacuum!
Cons: Me: NONE!!!! Husband: (not a con-just an observation) would be cooler with a retractable cord
The Bottom Line: This is not an extravagance. This is an investment...in an honest hard-working machine, and the health of your house and family. Would definitely recommend!
Review: I am IN LOVE with this vacuum and I haven't even finished cleaning the whole house yet! With four kids under 5 and a white cat, there is plenty to pick up off the floors around here! We had a Hoover bagless vacuum that did the job *part* of the time, but ...

Epinions My wife doesn't make me do the vacuuming anymore

by  horseybob,  Mar 18, 2006
Pros: Strong suction, doesn't jam, useful, long attachments/cord. Works on all surfaces
Cons: my wife won't let me tear it apart to figure out how it works yet
The Bottom Line: If you have kids, pets & an active outdoor lifestyle, this is THE vacuum cleaner
Review: After going through many lousy vacuum cleaners; most recently a Kenmore (h ttp://www.epinions.com/content _219867221636) my wife insisted that we spend vast sums of money and get something/anything that would actually ...

Epinions Dyson DC15: "The Ball" Is In Your Court

by  dinolaw,  May 12, 2007
Pros: Great suction. No bags. Easy to maneuver with practice.
Cons: Non-retractable cord. Size/bulk/weight. Touchy release/lock mechanism. Short life of roller brush.
The Bottom Line: Despite the high cost, this Dyson is worth the money once you see its versatility in how well it cleans carpets and floors. I love this vacuum, warts and all.
Review: I have owned this vacuum for a little over a year now and have been taking notes as to what I like and dislike about the Dyson. Regardless of all its faults, this is the best vacuum I have ever owned or used. With that said... "The Ball" It may ...

Epinions Finally! A Vacuum Designed for Use!

by  Viscouse,  Jan 4, 2006
Pros: Thoughtfully engineered, easy to move, fun/easy to use, except for...
Cons: Wand attachment cumbersome, too good looking.
The Bottom Line: A great vacuum that anyone can admire, from a usability standpoint, and a design standpoint.
Review: First of all, this review is for the Dyson Ball Animal DC15 (in case anyone is searching). It's pretty much exactly the same except that it is purple in color, and comes with a few attachments in the box. The actual vacuum is the same thing. It was ...

Epinions A vacuum actually worth $400!

by  mattmeitzner,  Mar 10, 2007
Pros: Good sucking power, easy to empty, very maneuverable
Cons: High pitched noise
The Bottom Line: Recommended. Although this Dyson is expensive, it works great and is really easy to use. It doesn't make vacuuming fun, but it does make it less of a chore.
Review: I've owned and used a number of vacuums in my life. The best one I ever used was a $1,200 Kirby vacuum, and the worst was probably a $40 Hoover. So my creed is pretty much that you get what you pay for. I liked the bagless vacuums that I've used, ...

Epinions Fantastic - wish I'd got a Dyson years ago!!

by  bonsi6337,  Mar 4, 2007
Pros: excellent suction, picks up all the dust, good for allergy sufferers
Cons: noisier than most other vacuums, quite heavy to lift
The Bottom Line: Fantastic - be prepared to be surprised by the amount of stuff sucked up by this baby!
Review: I previously bought another bagless vacuum cleaner 2 years ago which said it had the best suction and it was supposed to be the best one on the market - how wrong i was! This one cost me approximately £240 (£100 more expensive than the previous cleaner)so ...

Epinions The vacuum that just plain sucks more than any other.

by  zlmajors,  Nov 6, 2007
Pros: a status symbol, great suction, easy to use, bagless that doesn't uh..suck.
Cons: More expensive than most vacuums, telescopic handle a little hard to use.
The Bottom Line: Get this vacuum, read the reviews, it blows everything else away. It's only about $100 more than the other namebrand models and you will not regret it.
Review: Ok I just couldn't hold back with the title. Here's the background, I saw a discovery channel story about vacuums, and one portion centered on James Dyson. Specifically about his long trek to discovering a "better Vacuum." Did you know that he made ...

Epinions Watch the dirt pile up!

by  fridaynight,  Mar 13, 2008
Pros: Sucks well, dirt stays in canister.
Cons: Long wand proves hard to use in car.
The Bottom Line: I would buy it again.
Review: I received the Dyson DC 15 about 18 months ago. My husband purchased it on clearance at Target - making it fit within our budget of what we think a Vacuum should cost. I was very impressed with how simple and easy the instructions were and how simple ...

Epinions Absolutely Awesome

by  jican,  Mar 23, 2006
Pros: Awesome suction power. Extraordinary maneuverability around turns. Helps with my disability.
Cons: Sometimes, the attachments fall off. Otherwise, absolutely, nothing.
The Bottom Line: A vacuum should pick up dirt, not torture the person who is trying to clean. I love having a machine that actually does what it is supposed to do.
Review: I had a basic Dyson with a replacement contract, if there were anything I didn't like, I could exchange it within 3 years. I bought the basic yellow model. I was very impressed with the suction power, and it sustained the power and cleaned up more ...
