Disney Princess TV

This Disney Princess TV was honestly a pretty good bargain. I got one for my daughter off of craigslist website. It was used but was in great condition. I had paid only $60.00 for it. That was a great price since at the time they were going for $119.00. I am really pleased with this purchase and would like to share this review with you all.

The television is pink and purple in color. Mostly a light pink, and then purple on the buttons and on the top where the television takes a riding coach like shape to it. Much like Cinderella's carriage from the movie. The television is 19 inch. And has legs on the bottom that fit over the dvd player which you can buy in a combo form with the tv, or buy on it's own very cheap in places like Walmart and such. The Disney Princess TV set that I purchased was just the tv. The television comes with a remote, this is also pink and has purple buttons. It does require AA batteries for use of the remote.

When you change the channels, you can do so by remote or by the buttons located at the bottom of the television set. You will notice that a princess will show up in the corner where the channel number is displayed! This makes it more fun for the child who is watching. And when you leave the tv unattended while playing a game, watching tv and so fourth the screen saver will kick on. Just like a computer would. The screensaver timer can be set as well as the tv timer to turn it off using the options on the menu. You can also use closed captioning on certain things. Back to the screen saver! It is Ariel from the movie The Little Mermaid. She swims around your screen. I have watched my daughter stare at the screen just to see the screen saver. Along with Ariel you see other ocean themed objects floating about. To be honest I wish this screensaver could be used on the computer. It is rather cute.

The remote is small sized, maybe half the size of a normal remote, and fatter. Perfect for little hands to grip, and because it is so chubby there is little risk of it breaking if it should be dropped on the floor. My daughter has dropped the remote several times and it still works like new with no problems.

We have had this television set for about 4 or 5 months now and we have moved since we bought it. At first we had it in the family room, and when we moved it went in to my daughter's room where it makes a nice decor piece as part of her Disney Princess theme she wanted in her bed room. This was a great item to prefect the room the way we wanted to. The perfect size for a small television cart, on a night table, or where we keep it. Right up on her half sized dresser so she can watch from bed when she does not feel well, or lay on her bed and play her video games which plug easily into the lower corner of the tv.


The picture on this television set is great. Very vibrant, and easy to see. There are no flaws with it that I have seen. Also the sound is perfect as well. No crackling or echo, just clear and easy to understand. My daughter loves it and has gotten so much use out of it. It is also great for me because now I am not stuck watching her cartoons, rather than what I would like to see since she now has her very own TV set. She was very greatful to have gotten her own television, and I was lucky to get such a great deal on it. My daughter is only 4 but can work it all by herself, making her feel like a big girl!

Even if it had been full price I would have bought it if I had to. It turned out to be a great purchase to have made and as I said, I am very pleased with the purchase. There is nothing about this television that we do not like. We have had absolutely no problems with it at all. I highly recommend it to all.
