Review: Thanksgiving just passed and Santa is on his way! Thank God I am blessed to have a modern miracle at my side! I have had bad luck with quite a few things in an ongoing basis in my life. 1) Rain on good hair days 2) Hairdryers that smell of burned ...

Epinions Great Lightweight Vacuum

by  elzora,  Jan 18, 2006
Pros: Great suction, extra long cord, nice tools.
Cons: Manual, cleaning under furniture.
The Bottom Line: This is lightweight and less noisy than my other cleaners -but performs better!
Review: We purchased the Dyson DC14 two weeks ago, but I wanted to use it a bit before writing a review. After using this vacuum on my carpeting, wood floors and stair steps, I feel I have used it enough to warrant a fair review. About Dyson The ...

Epinions Effective vacuum, highly recommended

by  tk2x,  Oct 24, 2008
Pros: Sturdy, relatively quiet, great suction, no bags
Cons: Expensive, hard to figure out at first, kind of weird looking. Storage for external tools.
The Bottom Line: I have high hopes for this vacuum and recommend it.
Review: I bought this vacuum in September 2008 at Costco. After going from a 5-year-old tired vacuum, this was like a breath of fresh air. I have only used it a few times, but so far it's great. Relatively quiet, effective on rugs and hardwood, and easy to ...

Review: Over the last ten years I have climbed the vacuum ladder. At this point I am on the Dyson rung, and I hope I don't have to climb any higher. It started with a Hoover. Well that one wasn't really up to a 900 square foot apartment with no pets. By the ...

Epinions Dyson DC14 Disassembled & Reviewed by a Vacuum Cleaner Store Owner

by  happygillmore,  Nov 1, 2005
Pros: Excellent cleaning, customer service, no belts or bags, low maintenance, long power cord. Constant Airflow!
Cons: Canister model not available in the U.S., takes a little getting use to.
The Bottom Line: Only buy this if you want a clean & healthy home and save money. In my opinion, no other upright vacuum can clean as well as the Dyson.
Review: UPDATE: June 22, 2006 It has been over six months since my original post. Time for an update. I haven’t spent a dime on paper vacuum bags in eight months. Still vacuums leaving the air clean. Great “suction”. The Dyson continues to ...

Epinions The New Bad Boy In Town

by  iconsum,  Apr 19, 2005
Pros: Light, Good Attachments, Powerful Suction, Easy to Clean, Know when the vacuum is full.
Cons: When stored on plush carpet for a while, it can fall over.
The Bottom Line: It will make your life a cleaner and easier, buy it.
Review: My last vacuum was a Kenmore Progressive model 116. It worked and did it's basic job of picking up dirt. It had lights on the front, used a bag and was self moving. When using only the attachments for cleaning couches, etc. I had to be careful. Since the ...

Epinions Dyson Animal, hopefully the last vacuum I'll ever buy.

by  kappaknight,  Jun 23, 2006
Pros: Bag less, effortless clean-up, lite while operating and an assortment of useful gadgets
Cons: A bit expensive, accessories hose somewhat hard to use
The Bottom Line: If you are tired of sucking... try the animal which will blow you away. You won't regret it!
Review: Having recently gotten out of college and holding on for dear life to some of the older and dying vacuums, I now know what some of the worst vacuums can be for comparison. There's nothing that makes you feel like a bigger idiot than to push a vacuum ...

Epinions The best one around!

by  youngandfit,  Apr 1, 2005
Pros: Super suction, compact, no bag to keep on emptying.
Cons: Expensive, sound of telescope attachment, and hard to move wheels on some carpets.
The Bottom Line: If you have shedding animals, small crumbs, litter, etc. stuck in the carpet, or any problem with your current vacuum, this is for you.
Review: My family's dog is an Alaskan Malamute, and if I collected every hair she shed, I could make more blankets than blanket companies do. Along with that, we have a cat. We have had the Dyson DC14 for about 4 months, and it is the best vacuum I have ever ...

Epinions Well Worth the $50 Upgrade Fee

by  theawesome1,  May 26, 2005
Pros: It really SUCKS! New life to old carpeting, and truly cleans with little time.
Cons: Expensive unless you have a store that gives deals.
The Bottom Line: Remember, there is nothing more to buy once you purchase the DC14 Animal. No bags, filter, nothing. SO start truly cleaning!!!
Review: For almost a year I have used the DC7 and thought it was amazing the way it cleaned. Then I was at H H Gregg where we purchased it for $358 instead of the almost $500 selling price at other stores like Sears. The Manager, who knows I do professional ...

Epinions This Vacuum Sucks! No, it Really Does!

by  diego7979,  Dec 13, 2005
Pros: Strength, suction power, attachments, lifetime filters, self adjusting head and style.
Cons: No headlight to scare the cat and price
The Bottom Line: Worth paying more to get the power, strength and handy attachments. Your carpet will thank you!
Review: Honestly, what should a vacuum do? It should suck. That is it’s primary function. So, when I had to be trained by several different vacuum companies and one of which was Dyson, I thought to myself “I am going to pick this Dyson reps mind.” ...
