Epinions Good Portable Camera for Point and Shoot.

by  artuvega,  Dec 27, 2007
Pros: Well built, light weight and portable, easy to find menu, zoom works in video mode.
Cons: Noticeable chromatic aberration, higher than expected noise, image quality is not as good.
The Bottom Line: This camera is great to carry in your shirt pocket. Nice looking, easy to use, and reasonably fast. Still, if you want excellent quality pictures go for a bigger model.
Review: I have been an enthusiast of digital cameras since they appeared in the market. I personally owned several Canon cameras including the A50, A40, A60, A520, and now the SD1000. I still have the A50, and the A520, but wanted something portable to actually ...

Epinions Best in it's class at a bargain price now

by  namabeer,  Mar 23, 2008
Pros: Compact, strong construction, cheap, quick, little lag, uses cheap SD cards.
Cons: Dust Halo problems with flash photography, no battery indicator.
The Bottom Line: Great deal for a solid compact camera. Hunderds less than when it first came out 1 1/2 ago.
Review: Great little camera at a great price as they are clearing them to make way for the new SD1100 which will cost $100+ more. Is it worth it? Some current reviews say no. The new model does have image stabilization but for this camera probably not really ...

Epinions impressive

by  kana4,  Mar 4, 2008
Pros: Movie quality, vivid color performance in stills, ease of use, battery life
Cons: Zoom, low-light performance sans flash.
The Bottom Line: Get it if you want an easy-to-use, feature-rich camera that takes great pictures and movies and don't mind a limited zoom potential.
Review: I got this from my niece, who took very good care of it. I had a bit of trepidation about it, but since it was Canon, a company known for imaging, I took a bit of a chance. I'm very impressed with the quality of stills one can take with this camera ...

Review: I've had the Canon SD1000 for about four months now, and I carry it with me almost all the time. The camera is tiny, smaller than a deck of cards, and the case is matte finished metal that stands up well to wear. The small size makes it easy to stash ...

Epinions A sweetie with ease of use

by  mahdee,  Dec 13, 2007
Pros: Compact, easy to use, long battery life per charge.
Cons: Sometimes photos have slight fish-eye quality, does not fire rapid succession.
The Bottom Line: A good overall camera for nice photos, easy to use, and not too expensive.

Epinions thumbs up for basic usage

by  jawp,  Aug 29, 2007
Pros: compact, easy, decent tools
Cons: short battery life, sub-par zoom
Review: This camera works great for basic usage. It's compact and portable. It's easy to use - perfect for point and shoot photography. The battery life is short, so I always carry 1-2 spare batteries with me. The zoom is not stellar, which is expected. I ...
